Chocolate Glazed Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients:
2 cups - flour
2 cups - almonds or pecans, finely chopped
6 oz - semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup - butter
1 cup - powdered sugar

preparation:

* Cream butter and sugar in a mixer.
* Gradually add flour while blender is in running slowly.
* Stir in half of the nuts.
* Refrigerate dough for 1 hour.
* Preheat oven to 325° F.
* Now shape dough into a 2 1/2 inch length roll.It should look like a finger.
* Cut in half lengthwise and place cut side down on a ungreased cookie sheet.
* Bake for 15 minutes or until a pale golden brown.
* Cool on a wire rack.
* Melt chocolate on a double boiler or melt the chocolate on top of boiling water within a cup.
* Dip one end of cookie into chocolate, then into nuts.
* Cool on wax paper until set.
